The natural way of skin care
The bowl of the nature is the soul of everyone’s life in these times. Many of the health conscious have turned their backs off to the cosmetics made of synthetic chemicals, in the process giving way to products made out of natural ingredients. If this health conscious is one of you reading this, then cocoa butter, bath gel, chocolate coffee, passion fruit body butter or green avocado and yoghurt face bars are quite familiar places for you. The range and the offerings for these products are vast and so are the brands selling them. It is also fashionable now days to subscribe to the natural way of skin care but are they as safe as they are perceived to be?
At a recent natural beauty products show, a journo asked the official spokesperson as to why was the sun block not part of the their offering? The spokesperson reply that since sun blocks cannot be made without chemicals and that theirs was a purely nature based range, raised some eyebrows and concerns as well. What about the natural sun blocks commonly used? Take a closer look at the ingredients and you shall realize that you tend to overlook the jargon and see the bold type that spells natural stuff.
But it remains to be answered as to how much natural is natural. Pragmatically speaking it would be rather difficult to create a all natural cosmetic product with a consistent quality deliverable and a considerable long shelf life. One of the keys is also to understand that as long as a natural product suits and supports your skin, it is without harm.
While arguing with everyone whether natural is the way to go or not, can we brush aside the cost involved? Regular products come at a price which is manageable and reasonable but the natural ones, at times, might burn a hole in your pocket. You can choose the way you wish, depending on the weight of your purse and the limits of your plastic card !
